Thinking about buying a vacation home in Rehoboth Beach? Here are some things to think about before you spring for the big expense of a second home whether it’s on the water or right in the heart of town
Can You Rent? – Decide whether or not you want to rent out your beach house to cover some of the expenses and if so, what are the regulations you need to be aware of? Decide after that what your bottom line rental price is and contact a leasing agent.
Want Improvements? – Are you willing to buy a house that needs more than an ADT home security system and some paint to get more for your money? If so, decide how much work you’re willing to sign on for BEFORE you buy.
How Do You Vacation? – Is it more important to you to be close to the downtown walking and shopping area or are you in it for the sound of the waves and the sand between your toes? This should dictate where you begin and end your home search – don’t get what you already live in at home.
